He currently works as a kayaking guide for the Aasiaat Tourist Service providing multi-days exploration of Disko Bay and Island via kayaks. His most recent trip took him to Ummanaaq at the upper section of the bay. He is qualified in rolling and kayaking building. He also has extensive knowledge of the traveling through the Disko Bay and Island.
Johnsen Maligiaq Padilla:
At the age of 13, he won every event in his age group at the Greenland National Kayaking Championships. Since then, Maligiaq has earned the title of "Qajaq Man of the Year" more frequently than any other participant in the history of the event.
Ken Taylor:
Encouraged by Dr. Harald Drever, a Professor at St Andrew's University, Ken Taylor undertook a trip to the west coast of Greenland in 1959. There, at Igdlorssuit, a qajaq was constructed for Ken, which came with him when he returned to Scotland. While Ken’s attention turned back to his studies, the kayak passed into the hands of the late Joe Reid. Joe Reid and Duncan Winning undertook a project to measure the kayak – from which Duncan produced a survey drawing. Now having followed the evolution of modern sea kayak design for some time, Duncan believes that there are over 30 kayaks which are based directly, or indirectly, on the Ken Taylor kayak.

Adam is a board member of the Qajaq Aasiaat. An avid hunter and fishermen I hunt only in sparetime , he started kayaking at an early age competing in the 1994 Greenland National Qajaq Championship. Although he did not compete in this year's championship, he has been steadily improving his skills in kayaking, paddling, rope gymnastic, harpoon, etc. the last 3 years i've been going the opposite of improving due to lack of practice(no time to do because of tourists)
